Camel Pose : Ushtrasana

Today, we will see the Camel Pose : Ushtrasana. This pose is good for digestive system, reproductive system. It stretches the stomack and intestines, alleviatiing constipation. The backward bend loosen up backache. Also, this pose stimulates the spinal nerves, relieving backache, rounded back and drooping shoulders. Moreover, it’s helpful for people suffering from asthma.

How to? Sit in Vajrasana (Sit on your knees) and stand on the knees with the arms at the sides. Lean backward, slowly reaching the right heel with the right hand and then, left heel with left hand. Do not strain. Push the hips forward, keeping thighs vertical and bend the head and spine backward as far as is comfortable. The wight of body should be supported by the legs and arms. Remain position as long as is comfortable. Breathing normal and hold position 2-3 minutes.
